The activity of the Budimex Group in 2015 was recognised by many circles which was reflected in awards and distinctions received by the company.

In the 13th edition of the competition organised by the editorial office and the programme council of the Builder magazine, Budimex was awarded the title of Construction Company of the Year, while our president, Dariusz Blocher, was awarded as Industry Personality. ​Industry Personality is an award given to company heads for efficient management, effective extension of the company’s potential and competitive advantage, as well as for entrepreneurial skills and business intuition, and also supporting initiatives that are important for the industry development. Construction Company of the Year is a distinction presented to companies in honour of their dynamic development and high position in the construction market.

Executive Club, an organisation of top management representatives of the most important Polish and international companies, honoured Budimex with the prestigious distinction of 2015 Polish Infrastructure Diamonds. It is an award for outstanding achievements in the industry presented to companies and infrastructure leaders in the Polish market. ​The Company was recognised in the category of Social Responsibility Leader of the Year. The award is presented to companies that are guided by responsibility and care for the social interests and environmental protection.

The INN Poland portal, which deals with Polish innovations and integrates the business community with scientists, has developed its first ranking presenting companies which develop their business activities with regard to principles of social responsibility. Budimex is among the Golden Six of INN: CSR. The Golden Six was selected on the basis of a survey on involvement in CSR activities conducted at fifty companies in Poland. The expert panel scrutinised the process of building positive relationships with the stakeholders, initiatives in favour of local communities, long- and short-term objectives and achieved results. They also assessed the degree to which conducted CSR activities contributed to improving the company’s innovativeness.

The company has been included in the Index of Polish Business Patriotism — the first edition of the ranking published by the Rzeczpospolita daily.

In December 2015, Budimex was awarded the title and the statuette of Top Builder 2016 for the implementation of the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway. The distinction awarded by Editors and the Programme Council of the “Builder” monthly magazine, which includes scientists involved in the construction industry and practitioners respected in the industry. The statuette is awarded for the highest quality products and solutions as well as contracts and projects that use modern architectural design, construction, materials and technology, as well as IT products applicable in architecture and construction.

​In the 5th edition of the Creators of the Construction project, Budimex was awarded the title of Construction Creator of 2015. The aim of this initiative is to award people and companies that stand out in the construction market. The organisers – Wydawnictwo Polskiej Izby Inżynierów Budownictwa (the Publishing House of the Polish Chamber of Civil Engineers) under the patronage of PIIB – have recognised the contribution of Budimex towards the development of the construction industry, and the effective management of the company.

Budimex was one of the laureates of the tenth edition of the Business Superbrands competition, claiming the title of Business Superbrands 2015/2016. The awarded title demonstrates that Budimex is among the elite of the most recognisable and strongest brands in the Polish market. The leaders were chosen by the Business Superbrands Brand Council, comprising the key representatives of the Polish business, capital market, economic media as well as experts on the image of business brands. 2.3 thousand companies participated in the survey, which was conducted among more than 15 thousand people. The factors taken into account in brand assessment included: branding quality, market position, quality of services, quality of b2b relationships, innovation and CSR.

In November 2015, the certification process for Budimex’s Summer Training Programme as part of the Polish Quality Framework for Internships and Training was completed. The Company was awarded the certificate of High Quality Training. It is the first initiative in Poland aimed at setting the highest standards related to the provision of internships and training at companies. The core of the Programme is Polish Quality Framework for Internships and Training, which is a set of norms and standards related to high quality of internship and training programmes pursued in enterprises, which was developed in collaboration with several dozens of organisations that are members of the Polish Human Resources Management Association. Ministry of Science and Higher Education and Ministry of Labour and Social Policy are the honorary partners of the Programme.
At an official Gala of the Universum Awards Poland 2015, Universum consultancy company announced its 2015 Most Attractive Employers ranking and awarded the best employers in Poland. Budimex ranked second in the “Engineering” category. The ranking was developed on the basis of votes of 23,584 students and 8,774 professionals.

In the 9th edition of the nationwide Top Quality International 2015 programme, Budimex was presented with the title of Laureate and a Golden Emblem in the IQ Services category – highest quality services. The Programme is organised by Forum Biznesu under the auspices of the Ministry of the Economy, Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and Klub Polskie Forum ISO 9000.  The Chapter of the Programme recognised Budimex for the quality of construction and installation services in the general contractorship system as well as for its pursuit of a positive company image.

In the most prestigious competition organised by the Polish Association of Civil Engineers and Technicians – “Construction Project of the Year” – Budimex received several awards for the buildings constructed. The 1st degree prize was awarded to: “Wiślany Mokotów” housing estate in Warsaw – in the category of Residential Facilities with a value of more than PLN 25 million; Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway (Pomorska Kolej Metropolitalna) – in the category of Civil Engineering, Road and Railway Facilities; Educational Centre of the Chemical Technology Faculty at Poznań University of Technology – in the category of Scientific, Educational and Healthcare Facilities; and coastal defence works to the east of Darłowo Harbour – in the category of Individually Assessed Construction Facilities. The following investments have been awarded second degree awards: 1st stage of “Pod Słońcem” housing estate in Warsaw – in the category of Residential Facilities with a value of between PLN 15 and 25 million; 1st stage of Przy Rolnej housing estate – in the category of Residential Facilities with a value of more than PLN 25 million and the Municipal Stadium in Lublin – in the Sports Facilities category.
