In 2012, the high quality and professionalism of Budimex's activities was recognised by the company's environment on numerous occasions. This was reflected in the number of awards and distinctions won by Budimex.

At the 9th Builder Gala, Budimex was awarded the "Building Company of the Year 2011" title in the General Contractor category, while the special distinction – "Personality of the Sector" – went to Dariusz Blocher, the President of the Management Board, as a token of appreciation for effective business management and the company's market successes in 2011.

In the 4th edition of Superbrands, Budimex was once again named one of the strongest business brands in the Polish market. The title is awarded by The Superbrands Ltd, an international organisation, to reward the strongest B2B brands.

In Newsweek's ranking of the 100 Most Valuable Companies in Poland, Budimex came first in the construction sector. In the general ranking of companies representing various sectors of the economy, the company ranked 30th. A company's goodwill at the end of 2011 was the main criterion of this evaluation.

A jury led by Andrzej Arendarski, the president of the Polish Chamber of Commerce, consisting of 34 prominent Polish managers selected by Wydawnictwo Business Magazine Manager MBA, decided to present Dariusz Blocher with the Manager Award in recognition of Budimex's dynamic development and position in the industry.

In the 14th edition of a ranking prepared under the auspices of Rzeczpospolita, the LIST of the 500 Biggest Companies in Poland in 2011, Budimex SA was ahead of all other construction companies.

In the 22nd edition of The Construction of the Year competition, organised by Polski Związek Inżynierów i Techników Budownictwa (Polish Society of Construction Engineers and Technicians) together with the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy and the General Office of Building Control, all nine projects by Budimex won awards.

The "Nad Wilgą" housing estate in Cracow, awarded in the Construction of the Year competition, also won the recognition of Stowarzyszenie Budowniczych Domów i Mieszkań (Society of Constructors of Houses and Flats) Budimex Nieruchomości received the title of the Cracow Housing Developer of the Year 2012 and the "Złoty Smok" award for the investment.

Additionally, Budimex beat other large companies in the 15th edition of the Employer of the Year in the Construction Industry competition, organised by the Polish Association of Construction Industry Employers. The jury thus recognised an outstanding company operating in the construction sector, with excellent financial results and a strong market position. It also appreciated the timely completion of large, complex construction projects and the company's high level of innovation.

An investment implemented by Budimex in Białystok was awarded by the National Labour Inspectorate in the "Build Safely" competition. After a very thorough inspection, labour inspectors gave the alteration of the Clinical Hospital of the Medical University of Białystok excellent marks in terms of construction organisation and safety of all participants in the construction process.

In the 10th edition of the "Pearls of the Polish Economy" competition, organised by the editing team of the Polish Market weekly together with the Polish Academy of Sciences, Budimex was once again awarded "The Grand Pearl" for consistent implementation of corporate policy and strategy and for its leading position among the most dynamic and efficient companies in Poland.

Two projects completed by Budimex – the Karczemki junction in Gdańsk and the T2 passenger terminal at the Rębiechowo airport – were awarded in the Skrzydła Trójmiasta (Wings of the Tri-City) competition. The winners were chosen by the citizens of the Tri-City in an online poll run by the Trójmiasto.pl website, and organised under the auspices of the mayors of Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot.

In an internet poll within the Życie w Architekturze competition, which attracted a total of 368,000 votes, Lublin's airport – an investment implemented by Budimex – was voted Poland's Favourite.

The Wrocław Główny Train Station, another project by Budimex, won a prize at the Eurobuild Awards 2012. It was awarded in the RICS Regeneration Award category, which applies to renovation. Both commercial and non-commercial buildings were eligible for the competition.
